A Little Something Blue

I wanted to thank everyone who helped me celebrate the arrival of my son Kaleb by taking part in my Mystery Hostess party! The winner of the hostess benefits was Christa, one of my Stampin' VIPs who will be taking home the new Circle Scissors Plus as well as a few other goodies. Good choice, Christa, I love that tool! As you might recall I had a special on all things blue, and people definitely took advantage of it, look what met my eyes when I opened my parcel...very cool. I might have to do the colour specials again, I wonder what a box full of red or yellow would look like?

Here's a little card project for you. I mentioned in the last post that I have been making loads of baby cards, well here's the one I made for my new nephew Luke (notice the SAB DSP again, I just can't get enough of it!). Oh and the space stuff is a loving poke at the whole 'Luke' Skywalker & Star Wars thing.

Stamps: Pun Fun, Nursery Necessities
Paper: Kraft, whisper white, so saffron, Certainly Celery, Watercolour paper & Delicate Dots DSP
Inks: stazon jet black, Sahara sand, (felts: so saffron, bashful blue, certainly celery)
Tools & Acc: Big Shot + serif essentials alphabet dies, Certainly celery 5/8in poly twill ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Crystal effects, dimensionals,Snail, aquapainter, Signo White gel pen, punches: small star, wide oval.

{Note} I stamped the space ship in Stazon on watercolour paper then coloured it using an aquapainter and markers. To add interest, I used crystal effects on the ships window and glitter on the exhaust plumes and then popped the whole thing up on dimensionals. I hope you like it!

Oh and I just found this pic, this is the little hat I crocheted for Luke and gave him with the card.

This is so cute! I love the rocket and the colors are great for a baby card!
